1. A float entered for an FFA or 4-H Group will be judged as
follows:
First Prize: $75; Second Prize: $50; $25 will be paid to all
other entries in this group from the Solanco area who do not receive the first or second
prize.
2. Other floats categories eligible for prize money are:
Scouts
Schools (other than FFA, 4-H, Scouts)
Commercial entries
Non-Commercial
Church-sponsored
Group entries: Fire company/Ambulance Associations
Equestrian
3. Prizes for all categories will be: First: $75; Second:
$50; Third: $25
4. Participants should identify their floats with a sign on
the front or sides of the vehicle.
5. Judges evaluate each float or entry based upon the
following:
Appearance – 20%; Theme – 40%; Workmanship – 20%;
Originality – 20%
