The animals at this auction are direct results of practical
training in youth Agriculture Education, be it FFA or 4-H.
The FFA is a National Organization of, by and for students
studying Agriculture Education. A Supervised Occupational Experience Program is an integral part of
Agriculture Education providing practical experience.
The 4-H program is the youth segment of Co-operative
Extension, which is an integral part of Penn State University. The goal of 4-H is to teach and provide each
member life skills and build self-esteem and citizenship.
1. Terms of this auction are CASH.
2. All buyers must register at sale office for proper
recognition.
3. If you would like to support the Youth but do not wish to
keep the animal, we will make arrangements to sell the animal to a packer at the current
market price. Therefore, you would be responsible to pay only the difference between your bid
price and the current market price. Current market prices will be available on Friday of Fair Week.
4. An animal may be donated to a nonprofit organization and
resold one time only.
5. Animals may be removed from the Fairgrounds anytime after
completion of the sale and payment arrangements have been made. All animals must be removed by
9 AM Saturday.
6. All livestock will be weighed at the Fairgrounds upon
arrival and will be sold at this weight. All efforts will be made to maintain this weight until auction.
7. Each exhibitor shall be responsible for their own
entries. All exhibitors or their designee must be present when the livestock is sold.
8. The Fair Association will charge sellers a 3% commission. All animals are at the risk of the buyer when struck off,
but courtesy will be given to protect their interest. The Fair Management acts as agent only and cannot
assume responsibility for any animal in the auction.
