RULES
1. Competition is limited to crop growers of the community.
2. All crop entries must have been grown by the exhibitor
since last years fair.
3. Exhibitors may enter in as many classes or subdivisions
of classes as they wish but no exhibitor shall make more than one entry in a
single class.
4. The judge may withhold any premium for lack of merit or
may award second or third premium only if deemed best. No premiums will be
awarded in any class unless the exhibits are worthy.
DIVISION A GRAIN AND SEED CROPS
Section 1 Corn
1. Each entry shall consist of one, ten or thirty ears, as
the class requires. Entries not having the required number of ears will be
disqualified.
2. Rosss Feed & Grain will donate $10 to the field corn
30-ear class winner.
3. Pioneer Hi-Bred / A Dupont Co., will donate $20 to the
field corn 10 ear class winner.
PIONEER LOCAL DEALER Ranck Seeds will donate $10 for
first, $6 for second, and $4 for third place in the field corn 30-ear class.
4. Suggestions for selecting an exhibit:
A. Select 50 100 of the best ears and re-select 10 or 30
ears to the following points:
1. Select ripe ears, judged by hardness, dryness, and weight
of ear and brightness of color.
2. Condition ear should be firm, dry, and free from mold,
rotten kernels, and insect damage.
3. Uniform in length, girth, number of rows, and
indentation; cobs should be bright and of the same color.
4. Ear should be well proportioned, rows and kernels
straight and well filled out
at the butts and tips.

one-gallon clear glass jars. Exhibits in class 8 require a one-quart jar.

Section 1 Hay
RULES
1. Long dry hay only (in storage condition) may be shown.
2. An exhibit shall consist of a bale section(s)
at least 8 thick.
3. Consider the following when selecting a quality sample:
color, odor, maturity, leafiness; absence of weeds and foreign matter
content, mold; and that your entry fits the class description.
4. First cut from spring seeded stands is entered in later
cut classes.
5. Growmark FS will donate $30 to the Hay Grand Prize
Winner.
6. Little Britain Agri-Supply will donate $25.00 to the
class 3 first place winner.

tobacco of any
variety. The tobacco must have been grown by the exhibitor
